Votan Labs is a small team building products and running engagements from Perth. We work on things that came directly out of client rooms, then keep going.
From consulting to a product lab.
Votan Labs started as hands-on consulting in Perth. AI and automation work for owner-operated businesses that were drowning in admin, disconnected tools, and follow-ups that never quite happened. That work is still core to what we do.
What we did not expect was how often we would run into the same underlying problem. The way a business actually works, the real processes, obligations, and expertise, lives in people's heads and inboxes, not in systems. Every engagement, no matter the industry, came back to that.
After enough repetitions, we stopped just consulting on it and started productising the way we solve it. Votan Lens is the first product, aimed at MSPs taking clients through SMB1001. A second is in the lab for allied health practices, capturing the practitioner knowledge that never quite makes it out of one clinician's head.
Consulting funds and feeds the product lab. The lab pays back into consulting with sharper tools and sharper thinking. Both matter, and neither is a step on the way to the other.
